Is there anything better than watching Test cricket live from the stands, cheering on our boys as they take on the Aussies in their own backyard?

It doesn’t get much bigger than a Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The Black Caps are set to face Australia in a four‑match Test series in the 2026/27 season, highlighted by the iconic Boxing Day Test at the MCG. Alongside Melbourne, the other Tests in Perth, Adelaide and Sydney also present outstanding opportunities to experience world‑class cricket at some of Australia’s best venues.

We still talk about taking clients to Melbourne in 2019 for the last time the Black Caps featured in the Boxing Day Test. Being there on the opening morning was something special — the atmosphere was electric. While the match (and series) didn’t fall our way, that only sets the scene for a little revenge when the Black Caps return later this year.

Test cricket returns to Perth this summer as Australia and New Zealand face off at Perth Stadium. Known for its speed, bounce and striking riverside setting, Perth delivers a style of cricket unlike anywhere else in the country.

The 2023 clash here showed just how challenging conditions can be, and while Australia is traditionally strong in the west, recent Tests have proven the contest is always alive. When the Black Caps arrive in December for the opening test match of the series, they’ll need to back themselves to thrive on the pace and intensity. Secure your Perth Test package now!

Our NRMA Insurance Series Perth Test Packages include:

  • Return ‘Economy Class’ airfares departing Auckland on Tuesday 8 December and returning on Monday 14 December (domestic connections available)
  • Return airport transfers
  • or 6 night’s accommodation in a 3, 4 or 5-Star Perth CBD hotel
  • Official 2-Day or 5-Day Category C match tickets to the NRMA Insurance Series Test at Perth Stadium (upgrade options available)
  • Cover More Travel Insurance

Package pricing starts from $4,190 per person (5 Night Package) or $3,330 per person (3 Night Package). This is based on 3-Star accommodation, twin/double share, ex-Auckland. Prices will vary depending on your group size, departure city, accommodation requirements and optional extras. 

We are also offering ‘Land Only’ Packages, which are the same as above, but exclude the airfares, airport transfers and travel insurance. These packages start from $1,770 per person (5 Night Package) or $920 per person (3 Night Package). Again, this is based on 3-Star accommodation, twin/double share.

Stay an extra night or two in Perth 
There is the option to extend your time in Perth. Just let us know if you would like to stay extra nights and we can add these on to your package.

Upgrade your match tickets
Our standard package includes Category C seating. For a better vantage point and more shade, you may wish to upgrade your seats. Currently, we haven’t been provided exact seating bay locations, as soon as we have this information, we’ll let you know.

Category B Seating – Extra $75 per person (2-Day Pass) or $135 per person (5-Day Pass)
Category A Seating – Extra $170 per person (2-Day Pass) or $325 per person (5-Day Pass)
Sports Lounge Seating – Extra $625 per person (2-Day Pass) or $1,225 per person (5-Day Pass)


Corporate Hospitality
Hospitality options will not be available until potentially June. We would recommend booking our package with standard match tickets and then advising us that you would be interested in hospitality options, when we have them. Then if you decided to opt for hospitality, we would remove the original match tickets from your package.

What You Need To Know

Flights 
While our package pricing is for flights departing from Auckland, let us know if you need domestic connections and we can include these in your package. Your package includes ‘Economy Class’ fares, which include 23kg of checked baggage, 7kg of carry-on luggage, seat requests and in-flight meals and drinks. Premium Economy and Business Class upgrade options are available.

Accommodation 
For this tour, we will be using the following hotel options;
3-Star – Ibis Styles East Perth – Standard Room (King bed or two single beds)
4-Star – Novotel Perth Murray Street – Standard Room (King bed or two single beds)
5-Star – Duxton Hotel Perth – Deluxe Room (King bed or two single beds)
Daily hotel breakfasts are not included, unless otherwise specified on your package quote. Generally hotel check in times are 3.00pm and check out time is 10.00am.

Match Tickets
Our standard package includes Category C seating. For a better vantage point and more
shade, you may wish to upgrade your seats. Shade cannot be guaranteed at any venues, however as a general principle, the higher the ticket category selected, the higher the chance of shade or partial shade across a day’s play.
 

Airport Transfers 
If you purchase our ‘Full Package’ airport transfers from Perth International Airport to your accommodation and from your accommodation back to Perth International Airport are included.


Travel Insurance 
We include Cover More ‘Your Cover’ Travel Insurance with our packages. If you already have made arrangements for travel insurance, let us know. If you wish to know more about our Cover More Travel Insurance, let us know and we can e-mail you a brochure.

We do have some flexibility with travel dates and package inclusions, so if something doesn’t quite suit you, let us know and we can try to cater the package to suit your personal requirements.
