The standout fixture of the 2026/27 NRMA Insurance Series will be the highly anticipated Adelaide Test Match, set against the stunning backdrop of the iconic Adelaide Oval. Australia and New Zealand last met here in a Test in 2023, and while the result didn’t fall our way, the electric atmosphere under the South Australian sun made it a truly memorable occasion.
Australia traditionally performs strongly in Adelaide, yet recent seasons have shown that visiting sides can unsettle them on this picturesque ground. The Black Caps will be determined to seize that opportunity when they return this December, aiming to deliver a statement performance in one of the most scenic and atmospheric venues in world cricket. As an official travel provider for the series, Boys Trip are excited to lead a passionate crew of Kiwis across the Tasman to cheer on our boys as they face Australia in their own backyard. Not just for the blokes either, this tour is for guys, girls, couples, families, solo travellers and corporate groups.
This tour will be hosted by members of The Alternative Commentary Collective, who love nothing more than debating the finer points of the great game. Never short of a word or two, these bunch of loveable larakins are great value, expect them to bring the noise and the party vibes in Adelaide.
Our NRMA Insurance Series Adelaide Test Packages include:
- Return ‘Economy Class’ airfares departing Auckland on Wednesday 16 December and returning on Saturday 19 or Monday 21 December (domestic connections available)
- Return airport transfers
- 3 or 5 night’s accommodation in a 3, 4 or 5-Star Adelaide CBD hotel
- Official 2-Day or 5-Day Category C match tickets to the NRMA Insurance Series Test at the Adelaide Oval (upgrade options available)
- Official Boys Trip Function (includes drinks, nibbles and entertainment)
- Tour hosted by members of The Alternative Commentary Collective
- Alternative Commentary Collective, Beige Brigade and Boys Trip merchandise

Package pricing starts from $4,485 per person (5 Night Package) or $3,640 per person (3 Night Package). This is based on 3-Star accommodation, twin/double share, ex-Auckland. Prices will vary depending on your group size, departure city, accommodation requirements and optional extras.
We are also offering ‘Land Only’ Packages, which are the same as above, but exclude the airfares, airport transfers and travel insurance. These packages start from $2,300 per person (5 Night Package) or $1,450 per person (3 Night Package). Again, this is based on 3-Star accommodation, twin/double share.
Please note our 5 Night Package has you departing Adelaide on the morning of 21 December, which is Day 5 of the Test match. This is because we are doubtful that the test will go through to Day 5 and also because there are no direct Adelaide to Auckland flights on 22 December. If you do want to ensure you are in Adelaide for the 5th Day, just request on your inquiry form that would like to fly home (via Sydney or Melbourne) on 22 December or direct on 23 December.

There is the option to extend your time in Adelaide. Just let us know if you would like to stay extra nights and we can add these on to your package.

Upgrade your match tickets
Our standard package includes Category C seating. For a better vantage point and more shade, you may wish to upgrade your seats. Currently, we haven’t been provided exact seating bay locations, as soon as we have this information, we’ll let you know.
Category B Seating – Extra $130 per person (2-Day Pass) or $250 per person (5-Day Pass)
Category A Seating – Extra $290 per person (2-Day Pass) or $560 per person (5-Day Pass)
Riverbank Level 1 Seating – Extra $465 per person (2-Day Pass) or $885 per person (5-Day Pass)
Corporate Hospitality
Hospitality options will not be available until potentially June. We would recommend booking our package with standard match tickets and then advising us that you would be interested in hospitality options, when we have them. Then if you decided to opt for hospitality, we would remove the original match tickets from your package.

What You Need To Know
Flights
While our package pricing is for flights departing from Auckland, let us know if you need domestic connections and we can include these in your package. Your package includes ‘Economy Class’ fares, which include 23kg of checked baggage, 7kg of carry-on luggage, seat requests and in-flight meals and drinks.
Accommodation
For this tour, we will be using the following hotel options;
3-Star – Ibis Adelaide – Standard Room (Queen bed or two single beds)
4-Star – Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets – Premium Room (King bed or two single beds)
5-Star – Pullman Adelaide - Superior Room (King bed or two single beds)
Daily hotel breakfasts are not included, unless otherwise specified on your package quote. Generally hotel check in times are 3.00pm and check out time is 10.00am.
Match Tickets
Our standard package includes Category C seating. For a better vantage point and more shade, you may wish to upgrade your seats. Shade cannot be guaranteed at any venues, however as a general principle, the higher the ticket category selected, the higher the chance of shade or partial shade across a day’s play.
Airport Transfers
If you purchase our ‘Full Package’ airport transfers from Adelaide International Airport to your accommodation and from your accommodation back to Adelaide International Airport are included.
Travel Insurance
We include Cover More ‘Your Cover’ Travel Insurance with our packages. If you already have made arrangements for travel insurance, let us know. If you wish to know more about our Cover More Travel Insurance, let us know and we can e-mail you a brochure.

We do have some flexibility with travel dates and package inclusions, so if something doesn’t quite suit you, let us know and we can try to cater the package to suit your personal requirements.
