We use two different motels in Bathurst, the 4-Star Bathurst Heritage Motor Inn, located right in Bathurst and the 3.5-Star Best Western Coachmans Inn, located about 3km from Bathurst, in a suburb called Kelso. Both motels have a 4 night minimum stay during the Bathurst 1000. The Mount Panorama track is approximately 3km from the Bathurst Heritage Motor Inn and 6km from the Best Western Coachmans Inn. On-demand town and Mount Panorama track transfers are included in your Boys Trip package, so being out of town isn’t an inconvenience.
Getting to Bathurst
Our coach will depart from outside the Mantra 2 Bond Street Hotel at 9.00am on Thursday morning and head directly through to the two Bathurst motel properties, with just a short stop along the way for lunch. The journey will take around 3 hours, 30 minutes. That same coach will bring everyone back from Bathurst to the Mantra 2 Bond Street Hotel on the Monday morning, again departing around 9.00am, this journey can take up to around 4 hours.
Airport and Track Transfers
Included in the package are transfers from Sydney International Airport to Mantra 2 Bond Street on the 7th and from the hotel to Sydney Airport on the 13th. During your time in Bathurst you will have access to our dedicated, on-demand transfers service run by Bathurst One Day Tours. Between 7am and 8pm, you’ll be able to text/call one of their drivers with your location and where you want to go and they’ll pick you up and drop you off (within a 10km radius of the town). This is all included in your Boys Trip package. For those who may not want to be at the track all the time, they’ll provide localised sight-seeing/historical/coffee/lunch/tours. Bathurst has so much history as Australia’s oldest inland city and their historical tours are very popular with guests. Their staff will also provide valuable local advice on Bathurst itself, restaurant suggestions, doctors/hospital, entertainment suggestions, history and things to do throughout your stay.
We include Cover More Essentials Travel Insurance with our packages. If you already have made arrangements for travel insurance, let us know. If you wish to know more about our Cover More Travel Insurance, let us know and we can e-mail you a brochure.
We do have some flexibility with travel dates and package inclusions, so if something doesn’t quite suit you, let us know and we can try to cater the package to suit your personal requirements.
