What can only be summed up as ‘The Rugby League Fan’s Ultimate Long Weekend’, the NRL Magic Round sees 16 NRL teams battle it out in 8 awesome head-to-head clashes across 3 days at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium. Then our NRL Magic Round Package is for you! Brisbane will again host the NRL Magic Round, which sees 16 teams go head-to-head in 8 matches all played at the iconic Suncorp Stadium.
Plus we're super stoked to have the legends from The Radio Hauraki 'Big Show' back again hosting this trip. Jase, Mike and Keyzie have loved hosting this trip so much over the last two years, that they're coming back with us again in 2026. The Raiders have the BYE this round and will not be appearing at the 2026 Magic Round.
Our packages to the 2026 NRL Magic Round include:
- Return Air New Zealand ‘The Works’ airfares departing AKL/WLG/CHC to Brisbane or Gold Coast on Friday 15 May (Thursday 14 May, if departing from WLG) and returning on Monday 18 May
- Return airport to accommodation transfers
- 3 or 4 night’s accommodation at a 4.5-Star Brisbane CBD hotel in a Hotel Room or Apartment
- 3-Day Silver match tickets to the 2026 NRL Magic Round at Suncorp Stadium (upgrades available)
- Tour hosted by the Radio Hauraki Big Show presenters
- 2-Hour Boys Trip Drinks & Nibbles Welcome Function
- Free public transport to and from Suncorp Stadium with your match ticket
- Cover More Travel Insurance
Plus there is the option to upgrade to Gold, TryZone or Diamond match tickets or stay a few extra nights in Brisbane or the Gold Coast. You name it and we can sort it!

For this package you are looking at $3,350 per person, based on two people sharing a hotel room and flying ex-AKL. Prices can vary depending on numbers, accommodation requirements, departure city and optional extras, as always you can personalise this package to suit.

What You Need To Know
Flights
While our package pricing is for flights departing from AKL/WLG/CHC and flying direct to Brisbane or Gold Coast, we can add on regional connecting flights, if required. Our packages include Air New Zealand ‘The Works’ or Qantas 'Economy Class' airfares, which includes 7kg of carry-on baggage, 23kg checked in luggage, meal & beverage service and in-flight entertainment.
Accommodation
For our 2026 NRL Magic Round Packages, we are using the following hotel properties;
Rydges Fortitude Valley (4-Star)
FV Peppers Brisbane (4.5-Star)
Rydges Fortitude Valley is located in Fortitude Valley and features 24 hour reception, gym, swimming pool, onsite restaurant & bar and room service. The hotel is a 45 minute walk to Suncorp Stadium, or a 10 minute walk to the Fortitude Valley train station, where free trains run to/from Suncorp Stadium. Room types to choose from are;
- Hotel Room (King bed or two single beds)
FV Peppers Brisbane offer apartment style accommodation right in the inner city suburb of Fortitude Valley. The hotel features rooftop infinity swimming pool, BBQ area, fitness centre and cinema. The hotel is about a 35 minute walk to Suncorp Stadium, or only a 2 minute walk to the Fortitude Valley train station, where free trains run to/from Suncorp Stadium. Take your choice from the following room options;
- 1-Bedroom Apartment (King bed or two single beds)
- 2-Bedroom Apartment (King bed & Queen bed or Queen bed & two single beds)
Apartments can have an optional sofa bed added for an additional $70 per night
Tickets
Our packages include 3-Day Silver match tickets to the 2026 NRL Magic Round, although there is the option to upgrade to Gold, TryZone or Diamond tickets.
Transfers
Included in the package are transfers from Brisbane or Gold Coast International Airport to your Brisbane hotel and from the hotel back to Brisbane Airport. Free public transport to and from Suncorp Stadium is also included, just by showing your match ticket.
Insurance
We include Cover More “YourCover” Travel Insurance with our packages. If you already have made arrangements for travel insurance, let us know. If you wish to know more about our Cover More Travel Insurance, let us know and we can e-mail you a brochure.
We do have some flexibility with travel dates and package inclusions, so if something doesn’t quite suit you, let us know and we can try to cater the package to suit your personal requirements.
For all bookings we require a 50% deposit to secure your package and the remaining 50% six weeks prior to departure. For bookings within six weeks of departure, full payment would be required to secure this package. For all our terms and conditions, check out http://boys-trip.co.nz/terms.
