Witness Australia’s greatest sporting rivalry on Wednesday 5th June at ACCOR Stadium in Sydney, for the opening game of the 2024 Ampol State of Origin Series.
You can be there for the all-important first game of the series with Boys Trip. Let us take care of all your travel arrangements, leaving you with nothing to worry about, except whether you'll be wearing blue or maroon! New South Wales or Queensland? Who will you be cheering home?

Our packages to the 2024 Ampol State of Origin Game I in Sydney include;
- Return Air New Zealand ‘Seat & Bag’ airfares departing AKL/WLG/CHC/ZQN to Sydney on Tuesday 4th June, returning on Thursday 6th June
- Return airport to accommodation transfers
- 2 night’s accommodation at the 4-Star Mantra Sydney Central Hotel
- Silver match tickets to State of Origin Game 1 at Accor Stadium (upgrades available)
- Free public transport to and from Accor Stadium
- Cover More Travel Insurance
If you would prefer to upgrade your match tickets, we have availability in the Gold, Try Zone or Diamond sections. Also, if two nights in Sydney isn’t long enough for you, it’s not a problem to include extra nights.
For this package you are looking at $2,000 per person, based on two people, ex-AKL and sharing a Studio Room. Prices can vary depending on numbers, departure city and optional extras, as always you can personalise this package to suit.

Our package includes Silver match tickets, but if you would like a better view, opt to upgrade to Gold, TryZone or Diamond match tickets.

What You Need To Know
Flights
While our package pricing is for flights departing from AKL/WLG/CHC/ZQN and flying direct to Sydney, we can add on regional connecting flights, if required. Our package includes Air New Zealand ‘Seat & Bag’ airfares, which includes 7kg of carry-on baggage, 23kg checked in luggage per person and in-flight entertainment (excluding movies). Meals and beverages are available to purchase on board. There is the option to upgrade to ‘The Works’ fares, which includes a meal and beverages, as well as movie entertainment. Premium Economy or Business Class upgrade options are available if flying ex-Auckland.
Accommodation
We prefer to use the 4-Star Mantra Sydney Central Hotel, they offer apartment style accommodation, located right by Sydney’s Chinatown and only a 5-minute walk to Sydney Central Station, where you can board the train to/from Accor Stadium. Take your choice from;
- Studio (King bed or two single beds)
- 1-Bedroom Apartment (King bed or two single beds)
- 2-Bedroom Apartment (King bed & double bed or double bed & two single beds)
Apartments can have an optional rollaway bed added for an additional $50 per night
Tickets
Our packages include Silver match tickets to the 2024 State of Origin at Accor Stadium, although there is the option to upgrade to Gold, TryZone or Diamond tickets.
Transfers
Included in the package are transfers from Sydney International Airport to the Mantra Sydney Central Hotel and from the hotel back to Sydney Airport. Free public transport to and from Accor Stadium is also included, just by showing your match ticket.
Insurance
We include Cover More “YourCover” Travel Insurance with our packages. If you already have made arrangements for travel insurance, let us know. If you wish to know more about our Cover More Travel Insurance, let us know and we can e-mail you a brochure.
We do have some flexibility with travel dates and package inclusions, so if something doesn’t quite suit you, let us know and we can try to cater the package to suit your personal requirements.
